大田区蒲田で町工場を営む山崎家。工場社長の父・有三、母・佳乃子、祖母・ヨシ、大学生の長男・太一、高校生の長女・裕子、そして、主人公の小学五年生の次男・山崎公平。野球と少年漫画が大好きな元気いっぱいの男の子です。 職人気質で頑固者の父・有三と太一が工場の跡継ぎ問題で大喧嘩をしたり、高校生の長女・裕子が非行に走りそうになって一同がハラハラしたり、工場が詐欺にあったり・・・。先代からの工場従業員・ゴローさんや隣に住むアニメーター・良さんが加わって、山崎家をめぐる物語は展開します。 そんな日常のなかで、オリンピックを軸にバラバラだった家族の想いが一つになっていく心温まる昭和のノスタルジーです。
