王援朝的老朋友于力“续弦”后携新夫人到马大姐家拜访，新夫人对牛某言听计从、温柔体贴，让王援朝羡慕不已。艾嘉认为马大姐应该改改自己的脾气，让自己更具女儿味儿。马大姐幡然醒悟，下定决心，从此开始“温柔”。 马大姐在外对人说话开始变得细声细气，走路也小心翼翼，路见不平再不拔刀相助，像黄花鱼一样，开始溜边儿，大事小事再不自己作主，全由王援朝拿主意，整得街坊邻里目瞪口呆、特不习惯。于是小区里开始风言风语，传马大姐干了什么亏心事，在家已抬不起头来，难怪在外人面前如此温柔。于力又来拜访王援朝，他已和“新夫人”分道扬镳，“新夫人”卷走了的全部家产，于力垂头丧气，一蹶不振。大家也对“温柔”有了更深的认识，马大姐又恢复了常态。
