脾气火爆的中医师高庆经常口不择言，指责病人不听其指示服药，又经常相约好友出外玩耍，置药房的工作不顾。其妻妙喜有见及此，瞒着高庆私下聘请一名中医师学生，欲分担高庆的工作，高庆有感忽被架空，令他心存芥蒂。当晚，高庆因一次小事再次与妙喜吵架。高庆愤然「离家出走」，搬到隔璧与儿子有朋同住。即使回家吃饭也不与妙喜同桌，宁愿独个儿在露台中拉二胡、唱粤曲而自娱，可是其声浪却吓人之极，令高家众人大感烦恼。突然，有人疑受不了高庆的噪音，从高处抛下废物。火爆的高庆即高声指责别人不是，但反而令高空掷物的行动升级。高空掷物的行动升级，连带高家众人皆受影响。众人为下这口气，抛下工作加入「缉凶」的行动中，可惜却一无所获。最后，妙喜看不过眼，发起全家回收「犯人」掷下来的废物，从中竟因此发现凶手的真正身分。
