Intiem portret van de familie van Ibrahim Mouazzi, een ervaren Hezbollah strijder die in de zomer van 2006 omkwam tijdens de oorlog tussen Israël en Hezbollah. De Partij van God verwacht van zijn weduwe en kinderen dat zij gelukkig zijn met Ibrahim’s dood nu zijn droom in vervulling is gegaan en hij als martelaar in het paradijs is. Gedurende het jaar na de dood van Ibrahim volgen we het gezin Mouazzi. We gaan met de familie mee naar religieuze ceremonies in Ibrahim’s geboortedorp in het zuiden bij de grens met Israël en we zien ze in hun dagelijks leven in de gebombardeerde buitenwijken van Zuid Beiroet.
