まだ入兆へ帰っていないかをる(沢口靖子)に、昔なじみの由岐(高橋珠美子)が様子見に会いに来た。由岐が結婚生活の近況を報告していると、久兵衛(津川雅彦)がやってきて、かをるに話があると連れて行く。かをるは入兆へ連れ帰られるか、と身構えるが、君ヶ浜で久兵衛はかをるに、千代の病気はもう直らないだろうということ、不景気で事業がうまくいってないこと、3人の子供たちについても悩んでいることを吐露する。--NHK
