Nozomi Yumehara, un étudiant régulier, trouve un livre magique appelé le Dream Collet dans la bibliothèque et rencontre Coco and Nuts, deux créatures du Royaume Palmier. Ils plaident avec Nozomi pour restaurer leur monde, qui a été détruit par une organisation appelée les Nightmares, en complétant le Dream Collet et en trouvant les 55 Pinkies pour réaliser n'importe quel souhait. Pendant ce temps, les Nightmares se déplacent dans le monde réel. Une fois que Nozomi accepte d'aider, Coco et Nuts la transforment en la fille magique Cure Dream et font entrer quatre autres étudiants dans son équipe de Pretty Cure.
