The hitman targets EMPEROR CHAI but has hurt FONG accidentally. FONG is dying and can no longer hide her affection for LUNG. She finally confesses her love to him. LUNG promises he will marry her after her recovery. LUNG guesses that TIN DAN, an official working for the Chai Empire, is the real plotter of the assassination.
