George Jonas

George Jonas

George Jonas was a Hungarian-born Canadian writer, journalist, and poet, acclaimed for his works on political and historical subjects. After immigrating to Canada in 1956, he became a prominent figure in Canadian journalism, contributing to various publications. Jonas authored several books, including Vengeance (1984), which recounts the Israeli government's response to the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre. This book served as the basis for the 2005 film Munich, directed by Steven Spielberg. Jonas's insightful analyses and compelling narratives have left a lasting impact on literature and journalism.
