芥川奖作家又吉直树于2017年为别册卡德卡瓦特集号创作的恋爱随笔《我喜欢的女孩》，由作为新锐剧作家、电影导演而活跃的玉田真也将其长篇电影化。 主人公对“理想女性”的犹豫不决和矛盾。不是「恋爱关系」抽出「恋爱感情」本身的痛难过的小故事的许多。 谁都能想到，恋爱的人的不体面，作为现实的会话剧鲜明地描绘出来。 对原作者又吉直树的市井的人们肯定的温柔的视线，鲜明地切取监督·玉田真也的空气的缜密的剧本·演出。 与世间溢出的「恋爱电影」一伙不同，非闪亮系·青春恋爱喜剧。
