Detektiv Murtaugh odšteva dneve do upokojitve, a z nepredvidljivim sodelavcem Rigssom ob strani se upravičeno sprašuje, če bo pokoj sploh dočakal. Ko spoznata lepo in v borilnih veščinah izurjeno policistko Lorno Cole, se Riggs zaljubi vanjo. Toda časa za romantiko ni na pretek, saj mora neustrašna trojica stopiti na prste pokvarjenemu policistu Jacku Travisu, ki nezakonito trguje z orožjem. Seveda pa je za zabavo in razvedrilo tu še z vsemi žavbami namazani Leo Getz.
