În urma unei coliziuni în aer, un avion de pasageri cu 90 de suflete la bord devine incontrolabil și în pericol să se prăbușească. Punctul de impact pentru inevitabila prăbușire face ca dezastrul să fie de două ori mai mare, pentru că, după toate calculele, acesta va fi chiar în centrul Berlinului. Cursa de prevenire a catastrofei le ridică celor implicați o problemă pe care nimeni nu ar vrea să și-o asume: oare avionul va trebui doborât de piloții de luptă?
