Paaszondag, 4 april 2010. In Brugge maken een tweehonderdtal renners en hun entourage zich klaar voor de 94ste Ronde van Vlaanderen. Een zee van supporters wacht hen op langs het parcours, miljoenen anderen volgen Vlaanderens mooiste op radio of tv. Met de koers als achtergrond vertelt De ronde het verhaal van een aantal mensen die net als de renners vandaag alles te winnen of te verliezen hebben. Let wel dat de serie origineel 9 afleveringen had, maar deze werden recut tot 7 afleveringen voor de dvd.
