Semas Louri – mažytis sraigtelis milžiniškoje užrūdijusioje biurokratinėje mašinoje totalitarinės ateities valstybės. Semas stengiasi nesivelti į nemalonumus, bet vieną kartą, pastebėjus klaidą dokumente, per kurią suėmė nekaltą žmogų, jis nusprendžią tą klaidą ištaisyti. Kuklaus tarnautojo geri norai netikėtai jam pačiam iššaukia visą laviną keistų sutapimų ir mįslingų įvykių ir pasirodo, kad atspausdintas mažytis netikslumas gali išjudinti galingą milžiną ant molinių kojų.
