世界最高齢!!(たぶん…)のオーケストラにまさかの喝采!?
梅が岡高校に赴任してきたばかりの数学教師・千鶴。学生時代からオーケストラでバイオリンを弾いていた彼女は、地元の文化会館で聴いたアマチュアオーケストラの演奏に感銘を受け、入団を決意する。ところがこの町にはアマチュアオーケストラが2つ存在し、千鶴は誤って老人ばかりの素人オーケストラ「梅が岡交響楽団」に入ってしまう。若者の入団を喜ぶ老人たちを前に勘違いだと言い出せなくなった彼女は、成りゆきから指揮者をつとめるハメになり……。
