E lebilincselő krimisorozatban Sonja Kljun, a fiatal nyomozónő munkájába nyerhetünk bepillantást, akit Belgrádból Szabadkára küldenek, hogy egy sor gyanús öngyilkosság, köztük egy befolyásos helyi lakos fiának halálát göngyölítse fel. Az ügy senkinek sem tűnik túl bonyolultnak, csak neki. Felforgatja Sonja életét Szabadkára való érkezése, különösen azután, hogy neki és tízéves kislányának egyre felkavaróbb rémálmai támadnak, amelyek időnként valóra is válnak. Szokatlan képességét elfogadva Sonjának nemcsak a veszélyes összeesküvés lesz egyre világosabb, amely az állítólagos öngyilkosságok mögött rejtőzik, hanem egy mélyen eltemetett titok is a saját múltjából.
