"Naše malo misto" nesvakidašnja je kronika događaja u jednom malom dalmatinskom mjestu koje u sebi nosi bitne značajke i svih ostalih malih dalmatinskih mjesta. Mjesni poštar pripovjedač je koji pred gledatelje iznosi sve što se događalo s ljudima u tom mjestu od predratne 1936. do kraja šezdesetih godna. To dugo razdoblje s podosta burnih povijesnih događaja, koji se kao u iskrivljenom zrcalu odražavaju na sudbine stanovnika "malog mista", dalo je obilje zanimljive građe, a sve što se događalo Miljenko Smoje prikazao je kroz reakcije svojih likova.
