Η Ελένη είναι μια γλυκιά, πρόθυμη και αφοσιωμένη σύζυγος και καλή νοικοκυρά, που δεν εργάζεται, πασχίζει μόνο να κάνει καθημερινά πιο ευχάριστη τη ζωή του συζύγου της. Εκείνος, όμως, την βρίσκει πληκτική μέσα στην τόση αφοσίωσή της. Η Ελένη βρίσκεται ξαφνικά μόνη, να μάθει να ζει σαν ανεξάρτητη γυναίκα. Αδέξια ψάχνει για δουλειά, αλλά και για καινούριο ερωτικό σύντροφο. Ευτυχώς που έχει κάποιους να μοιραστεί τα προβλήματά της: Ο νοικοκύρης και σταθερός Γιώργος και η εγωπαθής και ματαιόδοξη Κλαίρη είναι ένα φιλικό της ζευγάρι, που αναλαμβάνει να σταθεί δίπλα της στην κωμικά δύσκολη αρχή της νέας της ζωής.
