Dabei haben sich Metallica keineswegs darauf beschränkt, ihre ruhigen Stücke orchestral zu bearbeiten. Eine weichgespülte "Pop meets Classic"-Geschichte ist dies nicht. Stücke wie "Until It Sleeps", "That Thing That Should Not Be" oder "Hero Of The Day" haben nichts von ihrer Härte verloren. Nur dass diesmal der Klangrahmen viel größer gesteckt ist als normalerweise.
